Journal of Language (JoL)is an open-access, peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Literature, Universitas Islam Sumatera Utara (UISU), Medan, Indonesia. The journal encompasses research reports in linguistics, literature, language teaching, and critical evaluations of books within these domains. The primary objective of JoL is to offer a platform for scholars, academicians, and researchers to disseminate contemporary thoughts and advancements in the fields of language, literature, and language pedagogy. JoL is published biannually, with issues released in May and November. The journal holds national accreditation with Grade 4 (SINTA 4) by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, as per Decree Number 72/E/KPT/2024, effective from Volume 1, Number 1, 2023, through Volume 9, Number 2, 2027. Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research findings that are not under review by other journals. Submitted manuscripts must adhere to the journal's style guidelines and are subject to a rigorous review and editing process. The journal's scope includes, but is not limited to, linguistics, literature, and language teaching, with submissions written in English.
